In view of the increase in Covid-19 cases in Gujarat, the state government decided on Friday to suspend offline sessions for classes 1 to 9 until January 31 and also extended night curfew hours in 10 cities, including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Surat starting at 10 pm and at 6 am on Saturday.

Gujarat reported 5,396 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, of which 2,281 and 1,350 were from the cities of Ahmedabad and Surat, respectively.  For the second day in a row, no case of Omicron was reported in the state.


Today a cabinet meeting was held in Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.  Many important issues were discussed at this cabinet meeting.  In which important decisions have also been made about opening another standard school (schools reopen) and starting tuition classes.

These states have banned not only offline education but educational activities as well.  However, the performance of the medical and nursing schools will remain the same.  According to the Ministry of Health, 37,379 cases of corona have been reported daily in the last 24 hours.

So only 1892 cases of Omicron have been recorded.  Of which Maharashtra has the highest number of 568 cases.  Since then, 382 cases have been reported in Delhi and 185 in Kerala.


The CBSE has also expanded its exams at Teva.  These exams will be held during the months of March-April 2022. Their date will be announced soon.  However, apart from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, the Bihar board has already announced the board review.  Also in Gujarat, some parents are demanding the closure of schools.  However, Education Minister Jitu Waghan has already clarified that parents can study online if they wish.
