The first thing you need to do to establish a lesson plan is to create an objective, that is, a statement of purpose for the entire lesson. An objective statement itself should answer what the students will be able to do at the end of the lesson. The objective drives the entire lesson plan;  it is the reason the lesson plan exists. The teacher must ensure that the objectives of the lesson plan are compatible with the level of development of the students. The teacher also ensures that the performance expectations of their students are reasonable.
