Mann Ki Baat 2023 LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address this year's first episode of the monthly radio show Mann Ki Baat today. The show will be live on All India radio, DD and the Narendra Modi mobile app. Akashvani will broadcast "Mann Ki Baat" in regional languages immediately after the Hindi broadcast. This comes just one day before the 2021 Budget, which will be presented on Monday.
This Mann Ki Baat episode also comes at a time when the Center is facing tough protests from farmers, a few thousand of whom have been protesting against the three farm laws enacted last year. In his radio address on November 29, the Prime Minister had defended the laws saying that these reforms had opened new doors of possibilities for farmers.
He said the demands that farmers had made for years had been met. Prime Minister Modi said that after much deliberation, Parliament gave legal form to the three agricultural reforms. "These reforms have not only served to free our farmers but have also provided them with new rights and opportunities," he said.
Prime Minister Modi also said that in a short time, these new rights had started to improve farmers' problems. Under these laws, he said, it was decided that all farmers' fees should be settled within three days of the acquisition, otherwise the farmer can file a complaint. Another notable aspect of this law is that the area Subdivisional Magistrate (SDM) has to guarantee the redress of the farmer's complaints within a month, he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the first 'Mann Ki Baat' of the year 2021 today. This occurs one day before the presentation of the Union Budget for 2021-22 by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. It also comes days after the Republic Day violence, when farmers agitating against the new agricultural reforms stormed the Red Fort and clashed with the Delhi police. Addressing these leaders at the usual all-party meeting convened by the government for the smooth running of the Budget Session, the prime minister, responding to references from opposition leaders about the "unfortunate incident" on Valentine's Day the Republic said that the "law take its own course."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also address today the 125th anniversary celebrations of 'Prabuddha Bharata', a monthly magazine of the Ramakrishna Order.
